Visiting Great Grandma Fiene

Memorial Day weekend we took the long overdue trip to Cortez, Colorado to see Hans' Grandma Fiene. It is about an 8 hour trip and the boys were wonderful in the car.



On Monday we went to Jo (Hans' aunt) and John's ranch in Durango. John (the little one) had a wonderful time seeing the animals and playing with a water hose.






On Tuesday we just hung out at Grandma Fiene's house and played outside. This is where John discovered his passion for golfing.


We also went to the city park.


This is Gus' idea of fun.











We all had a wonderful time and look forward to another visit sometime soon.

Receiving Email Updates

Hello Everyone,

I will be posting several pictures and stories in the next week since I'm very, very behind. I want to catch up on everything before our three week vacation when numerous other pictures will be taken and then I have even more to do and say :)

I have created a google group for you to join so that when I post something new a quick and painless email gets sent to you so you know to check the blog. I thought this was a great solution to my problem of not blogging consistently. And, (yes, I know I started a sentence with 'and'...I'll work on that) although I know some of you may check the blog on a daily basis this is probably the best way to inform those of you who don't do that but still want to see all new postings.

So, what to do, what to do? Just look to the right hand site of the blog and put your email in the spot that says Google Groups. Yes, it is that easy...I think. Some of you may have received an email inviting you to the group and may have joined that way. Basically, if I had your email already you were invited. If you didn't get an email that doesn't mean I don't like you or don't want you as part of the group. So, sign up people and keep up with my cute, cute kids!!!

Anywhere Will Do

John plays so hard and he doesn't like the idea of taking a nap, but sometimes he can't help falling asleep.

We were trying to keep him awake since it was 5:00.


He slept like this for over two hours.


When my mom bought us the double stroller I don't think she realized she was also buying the greatest present a boy could have....a big box! We cut a door in the side and he plays, and sleeps, here for hours.


He had just asked me for a peanut butter sandwich and in the time it took me to log off of my email he fell asleep under the computer desk. On a side note...thanks to Grandpa Huebel for showing him how to crumple and throw paper. All of those little pieces of paper were being saved for when we Skype again.
