Anywhere Will Do

John plays so hard and he doesn't like the idea of taking a nap, but sometimes he can't help falling asleep.

This in the middle of dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Cortez with Great Grandma Fiene

We were trying to keep him awake since it was 5:00.

He slept like this for over two hours.

When my mom bought us the double stroller I don't think she realized she was also buying the greatest present a boy could have....a big box! We cut a door in the side and he plays, and sleeps, here for hours.

He had just asked me for a peanut butter sandwich and in the time it took me to log off of my email he fell asleep under the computer desk. On a side note...thanks to Grandpa Huebel for showing him how to crumple and throw paper. All of those little pieces of paper were being saved for when we Skype again.

Working Out

Lately I've been doing Tae Bo in the mornings to get back into shape and lose a few of these baby pounds. John loves working out with me and he tries to mimic everything he sees on the DVD...it is so cute. He will even count in sets of 8 all out of breath, it makes me laugh.

Usually I'll do this when August is taking a nap, but he was wide awake this day and enjoying every minute. He was smiling so big at times I thought he was going to laugh.

He is already learning how to wink...I'm in trouble!

He looks so old in this picture.

Bilibo

My parents gave John this cool toy for Christmas called a Bilibo. It is a great toy because it encourages kids to use their imaginations. This toy can be anything from a turtle shell to a helmet to a cool toy to sit in and spin around. John just now started playing with it and he loves to spin around and around. He even gives his trains a turn every once in a while.

Sleeping and Smiling

I'm pretty convinced that sleeping needs to occur before smiling. I've noticed on those sleepless nights we have very little smiling the next day.

Yesterday I left the family room for a few minutes to fold laundry and when I came back both boys had fallen asleep. Hans doesn't think it is fair how people so small can take up a whole couch or chair.

He looks so sweet here, doesn't he?

Gus has been smiling for a week or so, but they are short smiles and I've had a hard time getting a picture. Luckily, I had the camera out this morning.

Hans' "Smart" Teeth are Gone

Hans had is wisdom teeth removed on Monday morning. The boys and I had to wait in the waiting room through out the whole procedure, which normally takes about 30-40 minutes, but in Hans' case it was a little over an hour. The boys did very well waiting, it could be because I brought Sponge Bob.

This was taken right after we got home. He really doesn't look that bad, but he is still on some major pain killers.

Hans is doing very well and went back to work yesterday. He has a very sore jaw which gets worse when he talks...and we all know Hans can talk.
