Declan's Baptism

A little over two months ago one of my good friends had a sweet baby boy named Declan.  My boys were very excited to meet Declan.  About a week after Stephanie gave birth she invited us over for dinner.  I know, I already told her she was nuts!!!

 Look at this cutie.  He looks exactly like his older brother.

 All three of the boys were begging to hold him.  And Stephanie is super trusting because she actually let all three of them hold her 1 week old baby.

 I promise you Gus was excited to hold him.

 Declan's oldest brother, Logan, is Gus' best friend.  

A couple of weeks after Declan was born he was baptized.

 And sweet little Declan actually shares a baptismal birthday with his dad.

 It was simply a wonderful day.

God's Own Child I Gladly Say It

...I am baptized into Christ.  I love that hymn.  Hans taught the kids the first couple of verses of this hymn at VBS last year and I loved hearing it sung over and over and over again all day long.  It is also the first hymn that pops into my head when I think about baptism.  We had a baptism at church on Sunday.  This is technically the second baptism since Hans' arrival at River of Life, but the first baptism held on a Sunday morning with the other church members present.  Unfortunately I was not there due to two of my kiddos being sick, but John made Hans promise to get pictures of the baby.  John has recently decided he would like a little sister.  I'm not sure where this came from, but I'll blame Hans.  For now John will be have to be content with looking at pictures of sweet little Aubriella, the newest member of our church family.

Anders' Baptism

Anders was baptized into Christ on Reformation Sunday, October 31st.  We were so very happy that both sets of godparents could be here for the happy occasion.  We took lots of pictures to mark the special day and by the time we were done I think everyone felt like we just finished taking wedding photos.  Sorry to everyone that had to smile through countless amounts of pictures.

Hans and I were so excited to get the boys suits for this special occasion.

After the service we had everyone over for lunch and entertainment...that entertainment being the boys.  John was so excited to be getting so much attention that he just crashed.  This was before any trick or treating.

It was such a busy day that even Superman had a hard time keeping his eyes open.

Gus' Baptism

Our "little" August Christian Fiene was baptized on March 29, 2009. We were blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Huebel here as well as Grandpa Fiene, Uncle Christian and Grand Aunt Diane, or as John calls her Diant.
