Lantz's

Near my grandparent's cottage is a great Amish restaurant and bulk food place called Lantz's.  Well, I guess I shouldn't say they are Amish since Hans thinks they are actually Mennonites, but either way it's great.  This is where I get all of my sprinkles and almond paste and all sorts of other stuff.

The boys love the bulk candy.

I love all of the fun sprinkles.

They also have lots of different gummy shapes.  The boys were especially taken with the pigs.

They also sell big swirl suckers.
Which my grandma gladly purchased for her great grandsons.  They were a sticky hit.

Going on a Boat Ride

I remember driving the boat with my grandpa when I was little.  I love, love, love these pictures.  They bring back such wonderful memories.

It didn't phase Anders one bit that he couldn't see where he was going.  We are in trouble when this kid turns 16.

We all enjoyed some quality time on the boat.

Fritz was very nervous on the boat.  As much as this dog did not want to be in the water, given the chance, I'm pretty sure he would have jumped in.

John had a lot fun trying out every seat on the boat.  But I think his favorite was in the back watching the motor.

Although he did enjoy telling jokes to anyone who would listen.  Grandma is always an easy target audience.

 Comforting our ridiculous dog.

I LOVE this picture.  My grandmother with her youngest great grandchild.
 Beautiful.

Halloween Fun

The boys were pretty excited for Halloween.  I'm not really sure why it seemed like such a big deal.  Every day is Halloween in this house, we have costumes EVERY WHERE!  The boys talked for weeks about what they were going to be and just couldn't decide on one thing.

John was a fireman for his school party.  Gus was Spiderman for his school party...but I forgot to take pictures of that.

The morning of Halloween, John got ready for school in his fireman costume and the other two boys decided to dress up just because it was Thursday.

After school the boys got in costume to trick or treat.

It was raining and really yucky.  But that didn't stop Hans.  Yes.  I meant to write Hans.  He was excited to take the boys trick or treating.
One house down and Gus' mask broke and the kid had a melt down.

The boys were soaked, so they decided to come home for a costume change and head out again.

Anders decided to stay in his costume.

Hans loves all of the activities of Halloween.  He really got into carving the pumpkins.

Hans and John had a lot of fun with their pumpkins.
My house is full of gross boys.
